Aylus Networks, a provider of infrastructure software for video communication
services over mobile and between network-based and OTT video calling services,
has appointed Prakash Iyer VP of Products.
Prakash Iyer brings to Aylus Networks almost 20 years of experience in mobile,
digital media, Internet and telecom technologies, as well as the management of
local and remote engineering teams.
“We are pleased to welcome Prakash to our management team,” said Mark
Edwards, CEO of Aylus Networks.
“Prakash has a very strong background in developing highly scalable and
high-availability switching software, as well as mobile software for client and
server solutions. His expertise in product development will be a great asset as
we expand our suite of highly monetizable solutions for mobile operators and
deliver interoperable video calling between disparate services,” Edwards
added.
Prior to joining Aylus Networks, Iyer founded and served as CTO of envIO
networks, a social marketing platform for mobile content.
Before founding envIO networks Prakash led the engineering effort for
Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) at Winphoria, which was acquired by Motorola.
Prior to Winphoria, he served as a department head and a distinguished member
of the technical staff at Lucent Technologies’ Bell Labs and led the
development of the world’s first voice soft-switch.
