Avaya rolls out Avaya IP Office 8.1 UC solution across Asia Pacific

Telecom Lead India: Avaya, a global provider of business
communications and collaboration solutions and services, has unveiled Avaya IP
Office 8.1, a unified communications (UC) solution for small and mid-sized
enterprises (SME).

Available across the Asia Pacific region, the new
solution can scales up to 1,000 users in a single location (up from 384).

 

The company claims that Avaya IP Office 8.1 can
serve SMEs as small as 5 employees. Additionally, the solution is able to add
capabilities such as mobility, management and security features along with
custom-built services to help SMEs efficiently and securely take advantage of
BYOD environments and advanced mobility.

 

Speaking on the availability of this new solution, Adil
Doctor, director of SME Solutions for Asia Pacific at Avaya said that the
company is extending it further into the mid-market of countries in Asia Pacific
by bringing its innovation to the forefront of the SME space.

 

The new solution can be paired with Avaya’s recently
introduced ERS 3500 switches to automate network set-up.

 

The company aims to bring interoperability between
Radvision SCOPIA endpoints and IP Office is expected at the end of 2012, which
will offer open, cost-effective and easy-to-use video collaboration.

 

Avaya IP Office 8.1 features Avaya Flare
Communicator, a mobility app available to Avaya IP Office SME users
on Apple iPad tablets or Windows-based laptops.

 

Through this nee solution, Avaya brings enhanced Security
Options for Avaya IP Office adds protection against toll fraud, denial of
service attacks, and other threats through use of a new SME version of Avaya
Session Border Controller.

 

Avaya IP Office is available through Avaya’s channel
partners.

 

Avaya offers social media solutions to drive better customer
experiences

 

Last month, Avaya introduced new services and
capabilities to help businesses more effectively incorporate social media into
their customer sales and service strategy.
