AT&T in pact with Cisco for new conferencing solution

AT&T today announced that it will launch AT&T Conferencing with Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Cloud in December 2014.

The new enterprise service offering from AT&T will allow customers to activate a conference with voice, video and content sharing using smart devices including smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.

Cisco CMR Cloud is a video collaboration service that couples WebEx Personal Rooms with the cloud-based WebEx Video Bridge into one, instantly-available meeting experience accessible from virtually any video device.

Abhi Ingle, senior vice president, Big Data & Advanced Solutions, AT&T, said: “We’re making video collaboration easy and accessible to virtually anyone with a connected device. Additionally, through endpoints like the Cisco IX5000, users can utilize the two-way cameras found on many mobile devices for a reliable collaboration solution.”
