Appalachian Wireless renews contract with IDI Billing Solutions

Telecom Lead India: IDI Billing Solutions announced that
telecom service provider Appalachian Wireless has renewed its contract for the
company’s billing and operations solution, CostGuard.


Appalachian Wireless operates a CDMA network. Through its
parent company, East Kentucky Network, Appalachian Wireless also operates fiber
optic telecommunications network in Eastern Kentucky.


Focused on growth, Appalachian Wireless has used
CostGuard’s flexibility to support a number of key initiatives, including
implementing IDI’s AdvancePay pay-in-advance solution to target new customer
groups.


Gerald Robinette, CEO of Appalachian Wireless, said that
it is crucial to all mobile carriers that they remain competitive. CostGuard’s
all-in-one back office solution has the powerful product management tools.


Donald Culeton, president and CEO of IDI, said its
solutions to Appalachian Wireless will help them drive value throughout their
customer base in the form of enhanced customer care capabilities and creative
product and service offerings.


With 195 cell sites serving 29 counties, Appalachian
Wireless provides the best digital coverage in more than 8,000 square miles.
Appalachian Wireless operates among a licensed population base of 651,900
people and enables consumers to purchase phones and service from the company’s
39 stores and authorized dealers.
