Amdocs signs managed service deal with Elisa, convergent billing contract with True

Amdocs on Tuesday announced managed services deal with Finland operator Elisa and convergent billing contract with Thailand telecoms True.

As per the managed services agreement with Elisa, a provider of wireless, wireline, broadband Internet and cable TV services, Amdocs will manage Elisa’s IT systems across multiple lines of business, expanding its support of Elisa’s Amdocs billing systems to cover additional legacy billing and third-party mediation systems till 2018.

“Outsourcing our entire billing operation to Amdocs and appointing Amdocs as the single point of contact for our multiple suppliers will allow Elisa to further reduce operational risk and focus its attention on growing new lines of business,” said Timo Katajisto, chief technology officer at Elisa.

True Corporation, a quad-play provider in Thailand, signed a five-year deal with Amdocs for ongoing support and development of True’s convergent billing platform.  The extension follows Amdocs’ deployment of convergent billing at True for the support of innovative, personalized bundled offerings designed to enhance the customer experience and increase operational efficiencies.

In addition, True has also selected Amdocs for a project to enhance the company’s enterprise billing capabilities.

The new enterprise billing enhancement enables True to offer features, such as pooled allowances that enable the sharing of allowances between units in a given organization. Corporate customers will also be able to set maximum limits on shared allowances, send SMS alerts to preferred contacts in the corporate hierarchy and distribute their charges between the different units within the organization.

“Amdocs has helped us become a one-stop-shop for all the communication services a customer needs, be it a mobile phone, a landline phone, Internet access, digital TV services or any combination,” said Khun Pichit Thanyodom, chief information officer at True.
