Indian telecom network operator Idea Cellular today said its new mobile Internet will assist users to lower their spending by 30-40 percent targeting customer segments such as students, housewives, and new users.
The Aditya Birla group company is offering 300 MB 2G data for 28 days for Rs 100 and 500 MB 3G data for 28 days for Rs 175 as per the Idea Freedom packs.
The strategy of Idea Cellular is to focus on consumer segments, who have limited data requirements for browsing and social media apps, but need to stay online throughout the month.
“Idea Freedom packs target those consumers who want to stay digitally connected throughout the month, however at 30-40 percent lower costs. These packs would help us enhance convenience for prepaid customers, who have to otherwise depend on multiple sachet recharges to manage their costs and internet needs,” said Sashi Shankar, chief marketing officer, Idea Cellular.
