Telecom network operator Bharti Airtel has made investment for deploying the largest 3G network in Odisha.
Bharti Airtel has rolled out 1,800 3G sites in Odisha, covering 109 census towns in the region. It has also bolstered its existing network of more than 5,000 2G sites and 8,564 kms of fiber optic cable with an additional 234 2G sites this year. Airtel added 413 new 4G sites across towns in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela, Balasore, Sambalpur and Barhampur.
The investment in 3G network is part of Airtel’s Rs 60,000 crore Project Leap program announced last year.
Airtel’s Project Leap initiative — for three years — is aimed at improving network quality and delivering the best customer experience.
“In line with Project Leap, we have invested in strengthening our network capabilities and are looking forward to delivering a transformed network experience for our customers,” said Ravindra Singh Negi, CEO – West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel.
