Telecom network vendor Huawei is set to showcase its Cable 2.0 solution and unveil the prototype of virtual Converged Cable Access Platform targeting MSOs.
Being presented at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2014, the company will also feature its Distributed-Converged Cable Access Platform (D-CCAP).
The newly launched Software-Defined Cable Access Network (SDCAN) architecture in Huawei’s Cable 2.0 solution will assist MSOs to build value-added access networks allowing for rapid innovation and service deployment.
This apart, Huawei will highlight the importance for MSOs to evolve their business towards service operation with a multi-play strategy spanning video, fixed-line broadband/voice, mobile services and enterprise services to strengthen their competitiveness in the residential and business markets.
“MSOs should focus on building future-proof platforms for enhanced business agility and service quality,” said Frank Miller, CTO for Huawei’s global MSO business.
Huawei provided cable solutions to 45 MSOs across Northern America, Europe , Latin America and Asia Pacific.
