IBC 2019: ZTE unveils two broadcasting innovations

At International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2019, ZTE has announced a number of broadcasting technology innovations.

One of them, the far-field 4K AI STB S200 integrates smart speaker and set-top box, which serves as multi-ecological platform for OTT operators.

The STB is ideal for smart home and comes with both audio and video interfaces. It supports full-HDR, and can be accessed via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Powered by Google’s latest operating system, it fully supports Google ecosystem, with the access to its apps and media resources.

Another innovation, the STB B866V5-W at IBC 2019, is the first dongle STB from ZTE.

The STB is equipped with a quad-core CPU, provides decoding and output with UHD 4K at 60 fps, and supports HDR10/10+ and HLG HDR.

The STB supports wireless network. Its Bluetooth remote control supports voice search and hands-free activation, ZTE said.
