Time Warner offers 1 Gbps fiber Internet to 46 Harmony Public Schools

Time Warner Cable Business Class announced its deal with Harmony Public Schools (HPS) to supply fiber Internet providing 1 Gbps speeds, and managed security services to 46 campuses along with the HPS Central Office in Texas.

“Connectivity is such an important, vital aspect for today’s classrooms and Time Warner Cable Business Class is providing us with a solution to meet our unique needs,” said Edward Caglar, chief information officer of Harmony Public Schools.

Time Warner Cable Business Class, as an alternative to high-speed data connections, provides symmetrical connectivity for businesses, organizations and schools that need high-bandwidth capability. The service runs on TWCBC’s wholly owned, redundant and private Fiber network.

The company’s managed security offering assists customers to address security risk management rather than react to threats and vulnerabilities. Firewall, anti-virus/anti-spam tools, remote access, and content filtering are some of the features.

Time Warner Cable Business Services, founded in 1998, serves more than 675,000 business customers throughout Time Warner Cable’s service areas.
