Comcast reported revenue of $29.3 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up 0.5 percent year over year, as growth in wireless services, enterprise connectivity and Peacock streaming helped offset pressure on its residential broadband business.

The US telecom and media company generated adjusted EBITDA of $9.1 billion, increasing 0.8 percent, while adjusted earnings per share rose 7 percent to $1.07.
Comcast invested $3.7 billion in capital expenditure and capitalized software and intangible assets during the quarter.
The results highlight Comcast’s strategy of combining broadband, wireless connectivity, premium internet services, enterprise solutions and digital entertainment to strengthen customer relationships and improve long-term profitability.

Broadband and Connectivity Revenue Falls 2.6%
Comcast’s Connectivity & Platforms division reported revenue of $19.66 billion, declining 2.6 percent year over year.
Adjusted EBITDA decreased 4.4 percent to $7.59 billion, reflecting investment in customer acquisition, retention and commercial initiatives.
Residential Connectivity & Platforms generated revenue of $17.02 billion, down 3.4 percent, while adjusted EBITDA declined 5.8 percent to $6.11 billion.
The residential business reported an adjusted EBITDA margin of 35.9 percent.
The decline indicates continued competitive pressure in the US broadband market, where cable operators face competition from fiber broadband providers and fixed wireless access services.
Comcast is responding by emphasizing premium broadband speeds, bundled wireless services and improved customer experiences.
Comcast Broadband ARPU Declines 2.9%
Comcast reported a 2.9 percent decline in domestic residential broadband average revenue per user (ARPU).
However, broadband ARPU performance improved sequentially by 90 basis points, suggesting some moderation in pricing pressure.
Domestic convergence average revenue per account (ARPA) declined 0.5 percent, improving sequentially by 100 basis points.
Approximately 45 percent of Comcast’s customer base subscribes to gigabit-plus internet tiers, highlighting growing adoption of premium broadband services.
The company is using higher-speed internet packages and wireless bundles to strengthen customer retention and increase the value of existing relationships.
Although Comcast highlighted improving Net Promoter Scores, its Q3 investor presentation did not disclose the number of broadband subscriber additions or losses, broadband churn rate or the total fiber subscriber base.
Comcast Adds 368,000 Wireless Lines
Comcast added 368,000 wireless lines during Q3 2026, supporting its strategy of integrating mobile connectivity with residential broadband.
Approximately 50 percent of postpaid phone connections were free lines offered through promotional programs.
Importantly, around 70 percent of free lines converted into paid relationships, indicating progress in converting promotional customers into revenue-generating accounts.
Premium Unlimited plans represented approximately 40 percent of postpaid phone connections.
These figures show how Comcast is using wireless services to expand its customer relationships and improve broadband competitiveness.
The company’s Xfinity Mobile offering forms an important part of its converged connectivity strategy.
While Comcast reported wireless line additions, the presentation did not provide a wireless churn rate, total mobile subscriber count or mobile ARPU.
Enterprise Connectivity Revenue Grows 2.7%
Comcast’s Business Services Connectivity division delivered revenue of $2.65 billion, growing 2.7 percent.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 1.7 percent to $1.48 billion, with a margin of 55.9 percent.
The company attributed the improvement to enterprise solutions, indicating that business connectivity remains a more resilient growth opportunity than residential broadband.
Comcast’s enterprise strategy focuses on expanding business connectivity relationships and strengthening its position in the commercial services market.
Peacock Streaming Subscribers Reach 48 Million
Comcast’s digital streaming platform Peacock increased its paid subscriber base by 7 million year over year to 48 million.
Peacock revenue increased 34 percent to $1.8 billion, while the streaming business generated adjusted EBITDA of $261 million.
This marked Peacock’s second consecutive profitable quarter.
The Media division reported revenue of $5.36 billion, increasing 13 percent, supported by Peacock growth and major sporting events.
Excluding $224 million in incremental revenue associated with the FIFA World Cup, media revenue increased approximately 8 percent.
Distribution revenue grew 22 percent, primarily reflecting Peacock’s subscriber expansion.
Peacock’s performance illustrates Comcast’s progress in monetizing digital content through subscriptions, streaming distribution and premium entertainment.
The growth also supports Comcast’s digital strategy of developing direct customer relationships beyond traditional pay-TV services.
Comcast Capital Expenditure Reaches $3.1 Billion
Comcast reported capital expenditures of $3.1 billion during Q3 2026.
The company spent approximately $600 million on capitalized software and intangible assets, bringing total consolidated capital investment to approximately $3.7 billion. This represented a 1.5 percent decline.
Comcast’s network and connectivity strategy continues to prioritize broadband performance, wireless convergence and customer experience.
However, the Q3 presentation did not separately disclose fiber network investment, fiber homes passed, 5G capital expenditure or broadband network expansion targets.
Comcast’s Digital and AI Strategy
Comcast’s operating performance demonstrates an increasing emphasis on digital subscriptions, converged connectivity and customer experience.
Three developments are particularly important.
First, Peacock’s 34 percent revenue growth shows the commercial potential of direct-to-consumer streaming services.
Second, the conversion of approximately 70 percent of promotional wireless lines into paid relationships demonstrates the role of bundled services in customer acquisition.
Third, improving Net Promoter Scores suggest that Comcast’s customer-focused commercial initiatives are beginning to deliver results.
AI-powered customer service, network automation and personalized digital experiences are potential areas for future operational improvement. However, Comcast’s Q3 2026 presentation does not quantify AI investments, AI-related savings, deployments or revenue contributions.
Comcast Corporate Strategy and 2027 Separation
Comcast is pursuing a significant restructuring of its business portfolio, with a planned separation involving NBCUniversal and Sky targeted for completion in mid-2027.
The company expects the transaction to establish two scaled publicly traded companies with distinct investment strategies.
Its objectives include improving capital allocation, strengthening strategic focus and maintaining investment-grade financial profiles.
The restructuring follows the completed separation of Versant in January 2026 and the sale of Sky’s German operations in May 2026.
For Comcast’s connectivity operations, the central priorities remain improving broadband economics, expanding wireless adoption, increasing premium internet penetration and strengthening enterprise services.
For its content operations, Peacock subscriber growth and streaming profitability provide important opportunities to improve digital revenue.
The key challenge for Comcast is restoring growth in residential connectivity while sustaining wireless momentum and enterprise profitability. Broadband ARPU declined 2.9 percent, and residential connectivity revenue fell 3.4 percent, indicating that pressure on the cable business remains significant despite improvements in wireless customer acquisition and digital streaming.
