Apple has posted quarterly revenue of $124.3 billion (up 4 percent) for its fiscal 2025 first-quarter ended December 28, 2024.

Apple has made improvement in sales in Americas, Europe, Japan and Rest of Asia Pacific. But Apple lost significant business in China. Apple’s lost nearly $2 billion business in China.
Apple, the #1 brand in China, has shipped 13.1 million units of iPhones in China in Q4 2024, according to Canalys.
Apple has generated revenue of $52.648 billion from Americas, $33.861 billion from Europe, $18.513 billion from China, $8.987 billion from Japan, $10.291 billion from Rest of Asia Pacific.
“We achieved all-time revenue records across the majority of the countries and regions, including the Americas, Europe, Japan, and the rest of Asia Pacific. We also continue to see momentum in emerging markets, setting all-time revenue records in a number of markets, including Latin America, the Middle East, and South Asia, among others,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said in company’s earnings report.
Apple says its revenue from services business has reached nearly $100 billion in the past year.
Apple has reached a new record for install base with over 2.35 billion active devices.
Apple’s iPhone revenue was $69.1 billion (down 0.81 percent). Apple says A18-powered iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are offering better battery life and camera experiences with camera control.
Apple Intelligence features for iPhone, iPad, and Mac are available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.S., and U.K. Users can also access ChatGPT across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
Apple Intelligence will be available in languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese, as well as localized English in Singapore and India.
The latest Canalys report said Apple has achieved 23 percent share in the global smartphone market in Q4 2024 as compared with Samsung’s 16 percent, Xiaomi’s 13 percent, Transsion’s 8 percent, Vivo’s 8 percent.

Canalys Analyst Le Xuan Chiew said: “By expanding channel coverage and leveraging marketing and branding strategies, Apple captured growth opportunities. Looking ahead to 2025, Apple is expected to achieve growth, driven by a refreshed portfolio, hardware upgrades and broader adoption of Apple Intelligence.”
Apple’s Mac revenue was $9 billion (up 16 percent), driven by the demand for the latest Mac PCs. Apple is selling MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini.
The latest IDC report said Apple has 10.1 percent share in the global PC market in Q4 2024 as against Lenovo’s 24.5 percent, HP’s 19.9 percent, Dell’s 14.4 percent, Asus’ 6.9 percent.
Apple’s iPad revenue was $8.1 billion (up 15 percent), driven by strong interest for the latest products. Apple is betting on portable iPad Mini and M4 iPad Pro.
Apple’s Wearables, home, and accessories revenue was $11.7 billion. Apple is focusing on Apple Watch Series 10.
Apple’s services revenue reached revenue of $26.3 billion (up 14 percent) for the December quarter. Apple has set all-time records in the Americas, Europe, and rest of Asia Pacific, and a December quarter record in Japan.
