ZTE said it will be gaining a market share of 42 percent in the core router segment, and 45 percent in the access router segment.

Research firm GlobalData says ZTE’s routers, ZXR10 T8000-18 and ZXR10 M6000-S, are Very Strong.

ZXR10 T8000-18 and ZXR10 M6000-S will serve as core nodes and service access nodes in China Unicom’s MANs and Internet data centers. The routers will help China Unicom build a flat IP MAN with clear layers, providing the operator with a future-oriented full-service integrated transport network.

ZTE, one of the leading telecom network suppliers, said ZXR10 M6000-S will serve as the service egress gateway of China Unicom’s cloud, while assisting in SDN/NFV development of network services.

ZTE said its ZXR10 M6000-S ranks No.2 in China in terms of market share. ZTE supplied ZXR10 T8000 to its customers in China, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries.
