The latest TRAI report indicates the growth in mobile phone customers on the 2G, 3G and 4G networks in India for January 2019.
Vodafone Idea has 415.158 million mobile subscribers on its 2G, 3G and 4G networks in India. Vodafone Idea has lost 3587019 subscribers in January. Vodafone Idea has 35.12 percent share market share in India.
Airtel has 340.362 million mobile subscribers on its 2G, 3G and 4G networks in the country. Airtel has added 103389 mobile subscribers in Jan 2019. Airtel has 28.8 percent share in the Indian mobile service provider market.
Reliance Jio has 289.441 million mobile subscribers on its 4G network. Reliance Jio added 9323773 mobile subscribers to its network. Reliance Jio has 24.49 percent share of the wireless service provider market.
BSNL has 115.325 million mobile subscribers on its 2G and 3G networks. BSNL, which is owned by the India Government, added 98265 subscribers in Jan 2019. BSNL has 9.76 percent share of the Indian mobile service provider market.
TRAI said India’s wireless subscriber base reached 1,181.97 million in Jan 2019, registering a monthly growth rate of 0.51 percent.
India’s wireless subscription in urban areas rose 1.03 percent to reach 654.20 million, while wireless subscriptions in rural areas declined 0.13 percent to 527.77 million in Jan.
TRAI said the number of broadband subscribers in India increased 4.15 percent to 540.04 million in Jan.
Top five broadband service providers are Reliance Jio Infocomm (289.44 million), Bharti Airtel (110.25 million), Vodafone Idea (109.86 million), BSNL (20.81 million) and Tata Tele Group (2.26 million).
Top five wired broadband service providers are BSNL (9.17 million), Bharti Airtel (2.30 million), Atria Convergence Technologies (1.40 million), Hathway Cable & Datacom (0.79 million) and MTNL (0.77 million).
Top five wireless broadband service providers are Reliance Jio Infocomm (289.44 million), Vodafone Idea (109.84 million), Bharti Airtel (107.96 million), BSNL (11.64 million) and Tata Teleservices (1.79 million).
