Ooredoo 4G network to cover 300 townships in Myanmar

Ooredoo Myanmar said it will expand its 4G Plus network to 300 townships by October 2018 from 244 townships in Myanmar.
Ooredoo 4G network in MyanmarYangon, Myanmar-based Ooredoo Myanmar has a customer base of over 9 million as of May 2018. It is growing its 4G coverage rapidly. Currently, more than 16 million people are able to access Myanmar’s fastest 4G network.

Ooredoo Myanmar offers the fastest network speeds in Myanmar, said Ookla, a provider of fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis.

Speedtest users initiated 149,413 tests on 4G devices and Ooredoo users provided results in 282 localities between January through June 2018. Ooredoo achieved average speed of 38.23 Mbps for downloads and 20.65 Mbps for uploads.

“Our investments in the network continue to help us to make the fastest available speeds a daily reality for people in Myanmar. This achievement validates our efforts to deliver the best possible experience for our customers,” Ooredoo Myanmar CEO Vikram Sinha said.
