Socket Telecom deploys ADTRAN Total Access 5000

Telecom Lead America: Socket Telecom, a Missouri based
CLEC and Internet provider, has selected ADTRAN for deploying Total Access 5000
broadband platform for its FTTH Broadband Stimulus project.

The internet provider is utilizing the Total Access
system to deploy high speed data services, voice and video to several
underserved markets in central Missouri.

Our business customers are quickly adopting a broad
range of next-generation applications to support their businesses as they grow.
It is critical for us to deliver the latest in advanced digital communications
in support of their efforts. We selected ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 because it
allows us to migrate to an expansive, yet affordable network that supports
current broadband technologies and enables evolution within our network for
years to come,” said Carson Coffman, president of Socket Telecom.

ADTRAN Total Access 5000 enables service providers, like Socket Telecom, to migrate to
a next-generation network that can easily be scaled to roll out a broad range
of revenue-generating offerings for their customer base.

ADTRAN is committed to helping service providers like
Socket Telecom address the challenges of improving network accessibility along
with keeping up with the ever-evolving demands of today’s rapidly-changing
network,” said Mitch Fleming, regional vice president of sales, ADTRAN Carrier
Networks Division.

With an all-Ethernet core, the ADTRAN platform allows for
delivery of advanced technologies without stranding existing legacy services,
and at the same time offering unparalleled bandwidth to each subscriber.

Last month, ADTRAN
announced Otelco Mid-Missouri, a division of Otelco, implemented ADTRAN’s
Optical Networking Edge (ONE) solution in its existing Total Access 5000
network infrastructure to enable high bandwidth transport capabilities.
