Indian VNO ADPAY selects XIUS

Nepal smartphone user image by SanjaalADPAY, the first VNO in the Indian telecom industry which has plans to add mobile subscribers in rural as well as tier-II and tier-III cities, has selected XIUS, a division of Megasoft.

The telecom technology deal is for integrating its Mobile Services Platform (MSP) with the digital payment provider’s telecom service, AEROVOYCE.

ADPAY, which is using the BSNL network under a VNO deal, will be spending INR 300 crore in three years to build its presence in India.

“XIUS has deep expertise and several years of experience in deploying telecom and VNO solutions across the globe and this will definitely help AEROVOYCE to offer the best user experience to its subscribers,” said AEROVOYCE founder and CEO Sivakumar Kuppusamy.

The cloud-enabled XIUS MSP, which is developed on a Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Network (SDN) framework, will be integrated with BSNL’s network to meet AEROVOYCE’s technology and operational needs. This will allow VNOs signing up with BSNL even in future, to launch services using XIUS MSP, in a plug-n-play model without worrying about capital expenditure (Capex).

“The VNO route is a good option for companies to address customers that are underserved. XIUS has enabled millions of subscribers in the mobile operator services’ space and is well positioned to serve AEROVOYCE with their needs,” said GV Kumar, CEO and managing director of XIUS.

Telecom operators in Europe, U.S., Latin America, South East Asia and Middle East have deployed XIUS MSP. XIUS was instrumental in launching one of the oldest MVNOs, Boost Mobile, USA (now part of Sprint) 14 years ago.
