DataWind Inc. has joined hands with telecom network operator Telenor India to offer unlimited Internet browsing for one-year with any DataWind device.
Telenor India has more than 47.5 million subscribers on its network in Uttar Pradesh (West), Uttar Pradesh (East), Bihar (including Jharkhand), Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. It will soon start commercial operations in Assam.
Datawind’s Internet service is ideally suited to Telenor’s subscriber demographic.
“Our partnership with Telenor brings much needed, low-cost Internet access to millions of people in rural areas across India on existing 2G infrastructure,” said Suneet Singh Tuli, president and CEO of DataWind.
