The OSS transformation deal will assist Telkomsel to meet new customer demands and efficiently manage network growth. Telkomsel, the largest mobile operator in Indonesia, will deploy a range of Ericsson software solutions to deliver premium service quality.

“Our work with Ericsson ensures that as we expand, we remain nimble with the support of solutions that give us the best flexibility and control in delivering the excellent service our customers expect,” said Paulus Djatmiko, vice president Network Operation Management, Telkomsel.

Telkomsel aims at consolidating its network operations center with better visibility and control over a geographically-distributed network. This includes measurement of operational performance and efficiency, and increased network availability through incident, problem and change management, said Ericsson.

Meanwhile, Belgian operator BASE Company has selected Ericsson to implement Ericsson’s Charging & Billing in One solution.

The Ericsson solution will enable BASE to support all retail and wholesale programs. The Charging & Billing in One allows operators to manage the end-to-end business, including charging, billing and customer care, for all types of customers in a single real-time system.

Meanwhile, Ericsson announced the completion of a trial of Targeted App Experience together with operator SmarTone, Hong Kong. The trial results show that app experience is impacted at medium traffic loads, and that load levels in a radio cell often vary over a few milliseconds.
