TeliaSonera taps Aptilo Wi-Fi solution at Ski Championships

Telecom service provider TeliaSonera is utilizing Aptilo’s Wi-Fi service management solution to enable Wi-Fi services at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden.

At FIS, Aptilo’s platform can manage 30,000+ users on the network at one time. The Aptilo solution offers secure Wi-Fi services to the Lugnet Ski Arena and city of Falun, wherein more than 200,000 visitors, journalists and skiers are expected to attend the Championships.

With Aptilo’s SIM Authentication, TeliaSonera subscribers can gain access to the Telia Wi-Fi service through automatic login. The Wi-Fi is also available through a one-time-registration at a web portal. Aptilo’s carrier Wi-Fi solution will complement the operator’s cellular network at the stadium to ensure better user experience.
