Airtel-Vodafone in LTE network deal with Nokia Networks for Channel Islands

Telecom service provider Airtel-Vodafone has selected Nokia Networks to supply 4G LTE networks  in the Channel Islands.

The telecom operator is making a multimillion pound investment in the Channel Islands to upgrade its services.

As per the 4G deal, Nokia Networks will be providing all the equipment and service the 4G roll outs.  Airtel-Vodafone will launch its 4G services in the first half of 2015.

“Our 4G network will bring a level of speed and accessibility that will transform the way islanders access the internet, and it is vital that we have the very best infrastructure possible,” said Airtel-Vodafone CEO Ian Campbell.
