Tata Communications Q2 revenue up 2% as voice pressure mounts

Tata Communications today said its Q2 revenue in fiscal 2015 rose 2.4 percent to Rs 5,071.6 crore.

The contribution of Voice Solutions decreased to 44.8 percent from 47.5 percent, Data Services contribution increased to 43.4 percent from 41.1 percent, while South Africa telecom business contribution rose marginally to 11.9 percent from 11.4 percent.

Profit of Tata Communications increased 15 percent to Rs 92.39 crore.

Revenue from core business grew 1.7 percent to Rs 4,495 crore.

Enterprise segment solutions revenues rose 8.3 percent. Connectivity solutions like MPLS-VPN and IP transit led the network services growth.

The start-up business increased 8 percent to Rs 576 crore.

Tata Communications said its Capex for six months was $125.3 million.
