Daisy Group and BT Wholesale have announced
their agreement involving the supply of BT’s wholesale calls, Ethernet and
business broadband products to Daisy’s customer base.
In addition, the deal also sees a
strengthening of the existing partnership between Daisy’s ServAssure division
and BT Group for the provision of maintenance and engineering services.
Daisy tendered its carrier pre-selection
(CPS) traffic to six UK carriers earlier in the year. BT Wholesale was the successful
bidder and, after a period of migration, Daisy will route the majority of its
business customers’ voice services over the BT network.
“We are delighted to have won Daisy’s
wholesale calls business and to be able to deepen the partnership between Daisy
and Servassure. Extending our already strong supplier relationship will help
Daisy to continue to grow and we look forward to working on new opportunities
together,” said Nigel Stagg, chief executive officer of BT Wholesale.
As part of the new partnership, Daisy,
through its ServAssure division, will become the third party supplier of PBX
related maintenance and engineering services to BT, although BT will maintain
relationships with other suppliers.
This strengthened relationship will give
Daisy a platform to continue to build on its success with BT’s 21st Century
Network (21CN) data portfolio, which includes Ethernet in the First Mile, Fibre
to the Cabinet, Fibre to the Premises and national Ethernet services –
contributing to the growth of BT’s next generation service platform.
“Daisy has a long standing
relationship with BT and now, having grown to become one of the UK’s leading
providers of unified communications, we have been able to build on this
partnership to consolidate further our supply chain,” said Matthew Riley, chief
executive officer, Daisy Group.
