NETGEAR, a global networking company, has announced the availability of two high-performance, vector-enabled platforms that help telco service providers deliver high-throughput performance and support innovative services while reducing operator costs
The new NETGEAR Dual WAN VDSL2 802.11ac Wireless Gateway (VEGN2620) and the NETGEAR VDSL2 Channel Bonded 802.11ac Wireless IAD (VEVG2660) provide the ultimate operator service-enablement platform, according to NETGEAR.
The new networking solutions are designed to address the challenges associated with the delivery of adequate network bandwidth to enable advanced revenue-generating services while also driving down the cost of their service delivery model.
The VDSL, channel bonding and g.vector technologies used in NETGEAR solutions deliver more effective access bandwidth to home and small business locations, enabling HD IPTV, IP voice, and high-availability Internet.
They can support a variety of USB attached devices, such as storage or a NETGEAR AirCard USB modem for advanced 4G LTE mobile broadband connectivity. It is also powered by NETGEAR genie application that allows end customers to manage, monitor, and repair the home network easily, reducing costs as a result of fewer service calls.
“The VEGN26x0 is a complete triple-play service delivery platform, offering greater flexibility with VDSL vectoring and fiber WAN options, combined with unmatched 802.11ac wireless rate and reach, IP-based voice support with DECT base station, and advanced OSGi-based application integration,” said Mark Dehmlow, director of marketing for NETGEAR Service Provider Business.
The VEGN2620 and the VEVG2660 include dedicated VDSL2 and GigE WAN ports, 2-port VDSL2 channel bonding to double the available bandwidth to the end-user
