HTC and Tata Docomo to launch HTC One dual sim + at Rs 53,590

HTC and Tata Docomo announced their partnership to launch a range of CDMA smartphones at different price points in the next five months. HTC One dual sim + will be the first handset.

These CDMA smartphones will include both the high end and entry level handsets, HTC said on Thursday.

The initiative is to spread the usage of CDMA smartphones in India.

As part of this initiative, HTC One dual sim + an Android smartphone with CDMA and UMTS dual SIM capability, will be unveiled at a price of Rs 53,590.

The HTC One dual sim + comes with expandable microUSB storage of up to 64GB.

The new smartphone features Sense 5 experience and HTC innovations including BoomSound, BlinkFeed and Video Highlights.

“Dual SIM smartphones are more popular as they allow consumers to take advantage of the most effective network coverage in the vicinity of the user for the best possible connections,” said Jack Yang, president, HTC South Asia.

HTC has tied up with Tata Docomo to provide special offers to its CDMA and GSM customers. In addition, Tata Docomo is launching special offers for its Prepay and Postpay customers.

“This phone uses GSM & CDMA networks of Tata Docomo to offer data and voice experience to customers,” said Sunil Tandon, head – Non Voice Services, Tata Docomo.
