Panasonic leads global PBX market in 2010

 

Panasonic System Networks Company of America announced
that Panasonic has again taken global leadership in the Corded PBX/IP PBX
market for the full calendar year of 2010.

 

This new market information, released by prominent
information technology market research firm MZA, helps to solidify Panasonic’s
leading position in the business telephony industry.

 

“Panasonic is pleased to once again be recognized
for leading the global market in Corded PBX/IP PBX systems, under-100 extension
category,” said Bill Taylor, president, Panasonic System Networks Company
of America.

 

“We strive to create innovative communications
solutions for our customers in the small business market and we are eager to
continue to advance and set the bar for this industry,” added Taylor.

 

Panasonic is the market share leader among manufacturers
of Corded PBX/IP PBX in the below-100 extensions market (excluding Micro PBX
systems) measured by volume of extensions sold. Panasonic’s market share grew
one point to 15percent over 2009 research results in the same category and in
2010 enjoyed a two point lead when compared to the next most significant vendor,
according to according to the MZA report.

 

Panasonic System Networks recently announced that Brekeke
Software has certified the Panasonic line of SIP Cordless Phone Systems, the KX-TGP500 and KX-TGP550,
for use with their hosted telephony platform.

 

This alliance solidifies Panasonic’s global leadership in
the DECT cordless telephone market as well as Brekeke’s SIP-hosted telephony
platform which provides true multi-tenancy under one server.
