After Airtel and Idea, Vodafone prices incoming call at Rs 5 per day for roaming

Following Airtel and Idea, Vodafone announced national roaming package for free incoming call at Rs 5 per day.

Airtel, which competes with Vodafone, was the first operator in India to launch special incoming package at Rs 5 per day.

As per Vodafone’s special tariff Vouchers (STV) for its pre-paid customers, national roaming outgoing call charges under this daily plan will be 1.5 p/sec.

Vodafone India also offers a monthly plan which offers free incoming calls on roaming starting from Rs 71 for its pre-paid customers and Rs 75 for its post-paid customers.

Vodafone also launched two new roaming tariff plans for its pre-paid and post-paid customers offering various roaming benefits.

The two new plans, Roaming Tariff Plan (RTP) and Roaming Tariff Plan Free (RTP FR), offers reduced incoming roaming tariff and free incoming roaming benefit, respectively to both the pre-paid and post-paid customers.

The price point for the RTP-FR for pre-paid customer’s starts from Rs 196 and varies by state and Rs 149 for its post-paid customers.

Meanwhile, Idea’s new value vouchers priced between Rs 230-240, and another priced between Rs 35-40 offer the same rates for local, STD, ISD calling, and SMS, as the user pays for using these services while in the home circle.

 

Further, Idea has reduced incoming roaming charges to 75 paise/minute for users who avail Rs 35-40 voucher, whereas incoming is free for those who avail Rs 230-240 voucher.

Idea users who recharge with the new vouchers will be able to enjoy the roaming benefits for 6 months from the date of recharge.
