In March 2026, Vi added 1,02,899 subscribers, following net additions of 21,927 in February 2026, TRAI data said. The growth was largely driven by rural markets, where the company added 1,92,211 subscribers during March.

Subscriber gains were recorded across 15 telecom circles. Key additions included Gujarat (1,01,748), Karnataka (1,00,701), Bihar (57,452), Uttar Pradesh East (47,869), Tamil Nadu (42,455), and Kerala (27,082). Other circles contributing to growth were Assam (14,496), Haryana (23,725), Maharashtra (19,272), Punjab (17,097), Odisha (17,717), Mumbai (14,702), Jammu and Kashmir (7,875), Himachal Pradesh (4,112), and Kolkata (4,219).

The consistent additions across both February and March highlight a positive momentum for Vi, supported by ongoing network investments and product innovation. The company’s offerings such as Nonstop Hero, featuring unlimited 4G data, and Super Hero plans with half-day unlimited 4G access are gaining traction among users.

Vodafone Idea is also accelerating its 5G rollout strategy, with plans to expand services to 90 additional cities, taking its total 5G footprint to 133 cities by May 2026. This expansion is expected to further strengthen its competitive positioning in India’s telecom market.
