Huawei to Launch Agentic Core Solution at MWC 2026 Barcelona to Accelerate Intelligent Network Commercialization

At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei will unveil its Agentic Core solution, a next-generation intelligent core network architecture designed to address the rapid transformation of telecom networks in the AI era.

The Agentic Core solution leverages three integrated engines – NE intelligence, network intelligence and service intelligence – to tackle key operator challenges such as exponential traffic growth, differentiated network demands and new service monetization models. The goal is to enable large-scale commercial deployment of intelligent networks as the industry transitions toward 6G.

NE Intelligence: Building the Foundation for Physical AI

As AI agents become central to next-generation AI smartphones and connected devices, the number of networked entities is expected to increase tenfold. Connectivity will expand beyond human users to include physical AI systems such as embodied robots and autonomous driving platforms.

To support this evolution, Huawei’s NE intelligence introduces foundational capabilities including digital identity management, agent registration and discovery, and agent-to-agent session management. These capabilities ensure low-latency and highly reliable connectivity, forming a robust network foundation for large-scale commercialization of physical AI applications.

By enabling secure and efficient interaction between intelligent agents and network infrastructure, NE intelligence prepares operators for the surge in AI-driven device ecosystems.

Network Intelligence: From Rule-Based to Intent-Driven Networks

The proliferation of service AI agents will generate highly diverse network experience requirements. For example, AI-powered robots may require 100 Mbit/s bandwidth with latency as low as 20 ms to function effectively.

Traditional predefined rule-based networks are not equipped to handle such dynamic demands. Huawei’s network intelligence engine evolves the architecture into an intent-driven model. In this framework, network AI agents understand organizational and service-level requirements, dynamically allocate resources and implement closed-loop processes covering policy generation, configuration and automated delivery.

This shift enables real-time optimization of network performance while improving resource utilization and service quality.

Service Intelligence: Unlocking New Monetization Opportunities

Compared to OTT players, telecom operators possess unique infrastructure advantages that allow them to deliver inclusive intelligent services beyond basic connectivity.

Huawei’s service intelligence framework, also referred to as AISF (Service Intelligence), supports operators in expanding service innovation through three strategic pillars:

Evolving from an interactive service entry point to a comprehensive personal digital assistant that integrates communication, content and digital services.

Transforming communication experiences into immersive, boundary-breaking interactions that extend beyond traditional voice.

Commercializing computing-network integration to provide sustainable computing power for AI inference and content generation.

Through these capabilities, operators can create differentiated service offerings, strengthen customer engagement and unlock new revenue streams in the AI-driven digital economy.

Advancing Toward 7×24 Intelligent Connectivity

Looking ahead, Huawei plans to deepen collaboration with global operators through a three-layer intelligent architecture encompassing NE, network and service intelligence.

The Agentic Core solution aims to deliver 7×24 inclusive intelligent connectivity, ensuring that users benefit from efficient, convenient and intelligent digital services around the clock. By integrating AI natively into the core network, Huawei is positioning telecom operators to move beyond connectivity providers and become enablers of the intelligent Internet era, creating sustainable value as the industry advances toward 6G.
