Kyocera targets 3.7% growth in revenue to 2,100 bn yen

Kyocera said its sales revenue increased 10.1 percent to 2,025.332 billion yen for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023.
Kyocera Capex 2023This was due to increased sales by the Document Solutions Unit and the Industrial Tools Unit, and also to the impact of the weaker yen, in addition to a contribution from the expansion of component production for semiconductors.

Kyocera revealed that its sales were affected by the weakening demand in the smartphone market.

Kyocera has generated revenue of 1,068.597 billion yen (+8.6 percent) from Solutions Business, 592.376 billion yen (+12.2 percent) from Core Components Business, 378.536 billion yen (+11.6 percent) from Electronic Components Business.

Kyocera has generated revenue of 570.285 billion yen (–7.1 percent) from Japan, 543.458 billion yen (+12 percent) from Asia, 451.568 billion yen (+32.2 percent) from the US, 381.141 billion yen (+32.9 percent) from Europe during 2023 fiscal.

Kyocera is aiming to achieve 3.7 percent increase in revenue to 2,100 billion yen in current fiscal ending March 2024.

Kyocera is targeting to generate revenue of 1,115 billion yen (+4.3 percent) from Solutions Business, 592.376 billion yen (+4.7 percent) from Core Components Business, 378.536 billion yen (+3 percent) from Electronic Components Business.

Kyocera said its capital expenditure for fiscal 2023 rose 14.6 percent to 173.901 billion yen.

Kyocera said its capital expenditure for fiscal 2023 reached 66.629 billion yen (–6.2 percent) in Core Components Business, 49.118 billion yen (+32.3 percent) in Electronic Components Business, 27.644 billion yen (+4.9 percent) in Solutions Business, 17.413 billion yen (+46.2 percent) in Corporate.

Kyocera said its profit fell 13.8 percent to 127.988 billion yen due to factors such as increases in costs for raw materials, energy and logistics, as well as a sharp decrease in sales revenue in the Communications Unit.
