ZTE SDON solution
ZTE announced – at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2016) in Barcelona — Pre5G agreement with Hutchison Drei Austria to set up the first Pre5G trial site in Europe.

Matthias Baldermann, CTO of Drei, said: “Hutchison Drei Austria will provide the best experience to our customers. We will explore new technologies to better meet their growing needs.”

ZTE said its Pre5G proposal involves the use of core 5G technologies on 4G networks to alleviate the pressure of the data traffic on telecom operators’ networks before the standardization of 5G technologies. In 2016, ZTE’s Pre5G Massive MIMO base station will be commercially available on a large scale.
