This program targets channel partners, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and their business customers, aiming to reduce the upfront costs of T-Mobile certified 5G laptops and 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) equipment from Cradlepoint, a part of Ericsson.

The subsidy program offers a credit of up to $400 per laptop for several popular network-certified 5G laptop brands, making these devices more affordable for businesses.

“The price tag of 5G devices, particularly laptops, has been a major obstacle for businesses looking to adopt 5G solutions,” Patrick Moorhead, Founder, CEO, and Chief Analyst at Moor Insights and Strategy, said.

Let us look at the price of 5G laptops available in the United States and their retail price. Most of the PC brands are offering financial schemes to attract buyers.

The retail price of Dell Latitude 7440 Laptop – 14 is $1,795.

Dell says Latitude 7450 Laptop, which offers 19 percent longer battery life on average than the previous generation is available for $1,489. It is powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 165H processor.

Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i is available for $940.

The price of Apple MacBook Pro on Amazon website is $1,385.

“With the strength and leadership of T-Mobile’s 5G network, coupled with expanding business initiatives, T-Mobile is uniquely positioned to bring the right partners together to deliver new solutions and plans that make 5G more affordable for businesses,” Patrick Moorhead said.

T-Mobile has tied up with major technology distributors Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX, as well as leading 5G enterprise wireless WAN solution provider Cradlepoint, for offering substantial savings. The program includes a subsidy credit of up to $700 on certified 5G Cradlepoint routers and adapters.

Additionally, Cradlepoint offers up to two extra years of NetCloud Manager at no cost with the purchase of eligible 5G routers or adapters, potentially saving businesses up to $1,600 per router or adapter.

George Fischer, Senior Vice President of Sales at T-Mobile Business Group, emphasized the company’s mission: “Our mission is to enable businesses to accelerate the realization of the many benefits of 5G.”

This initiative is part of T-Mobile’s broader strategy to make 5G technology more accessible and affordable, supporting businesses in their digital transformation efforts.
