Ooredoo Myanmar plans 5G investment

Ooredoo Myanmar CEO Vikram Sinha indicated about the telecom operator’s entry into 5G services in the future.
Ooredoo Myanmar 4G expansionEarlier this year, Ooredoo completed a 4G Pro network demonstration, showcasing its readiness to bring a 5G service in Myanmar.

The telecom operator said 92 percent of the population, including over 300 townships, will be covered by Ooredoo’s 4G Plus network by the end of 2018. Ooredoo Myanmar said its fiber coverage will reach over 15,000 km across Myanmar.

Yangon-based Ooredoo Myanmar announced the launch of an innovative new mobile plan, aimed at simplifying the digital life of customers. Ooredoo, a leading telecom operator in the Middle East, is celebrating its fourth anniversary in Myanmar.

Ooredoo Next is a customer interface that enables customers to manage their account via Facebook. Customers no longer need to remember multiple codes and can now check the offers, buy packs, check their balance and access special promotions easily from Facebook Messenger.

Earlier this year Ooredoo Myanmar became the fastest network in Myanmar, according to the Ookla Speedtest Intelligence analysis for Q1–Q2 2018.
