3 Hong Kong announced 5G coverage of 99 percent. Customers can enjoy 5G network at close to 600 indoor and outdoor premises.
3 Hong Kong has enhanced 5G network coverage in accordance with the 5G One World theme. 3 Hong Kong is offering 5G service in the 3.5 GHz spectrum band.
It has also re-farmed the 15 MHz of spectrum in the 2100 MHz spectrum band to expand network coverage especially for 5G customers. 20 of those highest traffic locations enjoy network coverage provided by both the 3.5 GHz (N78) and 2100 MHz (N1) spectrum bands.
“This is a new milestone in our network deployment while we develop the strongest 5G network,” Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings CEO Kenny Koo said.
3 Hong Kong will launch Network Optimization Tip-off Scheme in November to encourage customers to report locations with less-than-perfect network coverage to 3 Hong Kong by calling its customer service hotline or via the My3 app.
3 Hong Kong will verify each reported location carefully. The first customer to report each relevant location will receive a monthly fee waiver. 3 Hong Kong will actively follow up on customer advice, aiming to build an excellent network together.
