ZyXEL adds Clearwire WiMAX 4G connectivity support to mobile wireless router

ZyXEL announced a free upgrade to its mobile wireless

router, MWR211, that adds additional 4G connectivity support.

The palm-sized, carrier-agnostic router now enables users
to connect to Clearwire WiMAX networks, in addition to 3G service providers and
4G Sprint and Verizon networks.

Providing a seamless way for users to connect any Wi-Fi
capable device to the Internet, the MWR211 offers more connectivity choices for
a superior wireless experience at no additional cost.

ZyXEL’s mobile wireless router supports wired Internet
access and 3G / 4G data access through the use of a USB adapter. The MWR211 can
operate using AC power or its rechargeable battery for business travelers and
other on-the-go users.

Ideal for road warriors, vacationers, RVs or kiosk
applications, the MWR211 can work with any cellular provider’s data service.

“We’re seeing growing consumer demand for
4G-capabile routers and have quickly engineered a series of upgrades for our
popular MWR211 routers to ensure optimal wireless user experience,” said
Steven Joe, executive vice president of channel business for North America at
ZyXEL.
These free upgrades continuously improve ZyXEL’s MWR211,
matching its functionality to the changing needs of our existing and future
customers.
