ZTE to supply LTE Dongle and Uifi set to Colombian telecom operator UNE

Telecom Lead Asia: ZTE Corporation has won a project to
provide Colombia’s telecom operator UNE with an MF821 LTE Dongle and MF821+MF20
LTE Wireless Uifi set.


ZTE Columbia president Hua Rusong said ZTE’s relationship
with UNE made this partnership possible. In the future, ZTE aims to partner
with the operator on 4G handsets, Uifi, tablets as well as system projects.


The MF821 LTE wireless network card supports LTE FDD:
DL/UL 100/50Mbps, has a Micro SD slot up for storage of up to 32 GB, and
supports all major operating systems. The MF20 is a new datacard adapter
product. Its main function is to change datacard access for Wifi coverage. It
is portable; battery powered and can also be used as a wired router, according
to UNE Global Marketing Vice President JuanIgnacio Palaci.  

 

ZTE holds approximately 2,000 LTE patents, accounting for
7 per cent of the worldwide total. To date, the company has built seven TD-LTE
commercial networks across the globe. The company also has signed LTE-FDD/TDD
construction agreements with Hutchison
Whampoa Hi3G
and provides services across a number of northern European
countries.
