Professional Background

Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer previously served as the CEO of SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge, where she led one of Norway’s largest regional banks for four years. She has held senior management positions in DNB and Fremtind Forsikring and has notable board experience, including roles with the Oslo Stock Exchange, Vipps, and Norges Bank’s Supervisory Council.

Her appointment at Telenor was announced earlier this year, and she has spent recent weeks meeting employees and familiarizing herself with the company’s operations across its key markets.

Leadership Vision

Taking over from Sigve Brekke, who served as CEO for more than nine years, Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer aims to build on Telenor’s strong foundations.
