WaveMax deploys Alvarion 4Motion for wireless broadband network in Italy

Alvarion, a provider of 4G networks in the Broadband
Wireless Access (BWA) market, announced that WaveMax is deploying its 4Motion
4G wireless broadband solution to provide broadband services to the residents
of the Marche region in Italy.

The
network operates in the licensed 3.5 GHz frequency and enables both residential
and business users to benefit from instant access to high-speed wireless
broadband services.

The
Alvarion 4Motion solution
deployment, which began earlier this year, has enabled WaveMax to significantly
improve its business case. This is due to the high level of service that they
can now offer at competitive prices.

As
a growing player in a highly competitive market, service reliability and
pricing are our top priorities. We also introduced an Alvarion 4Motion
self-install CPE that enables customers to access our services immediately.
This has enabled us to grow at a steady pace by offering good services that
meet the needs of our local business and residential subscribers, at reduced
costs,” said Giuseppe Colaiacovo, CEO of WaveMax
Italy.

We
are excited to be working with WaveMax that is helping to move this region
forward with affordable access to technology and online services,” said Eran
Gorev, president and CEO of Alvarion.

Our
comprehensive offering and vast experience in deploying rural broadband around
the world have made this a strong market for Alvarion. In recent years, we have
found that rural providers are greatly benefiting from the fact that 4Motion
can also offer the flexibility they require to deploy a solution that will help
them grow, as well as grow with them,” Gorev added.

Alvarion’s
4Motion solution is a field-proven, end-to-end solution that helps operators
offer a variety of IP-based voice and high speed data services over a unified
platform using 802.16e technology.
