Vodafone said its TurboNet 4G is the fastest 4G network in Kolkata, West Bengal circle including Sikkim during October-December 2019, according to Ookla.
Despite retaining its 4G speed, the telecom operator has lost mobile phones subscribers in the recent past.
Vodafone Idea’s mobile subscriber base in West Bengal (excluding Kolkata) reached 20,378,587 in November 2019 from 22,228,494 in October 2019.
Vodafone Idea has lost its mobile subscribers in Kolkata to 7,790,420 in November 2019 from 8,498,065 in October 2019.
Vodafone Idea has lost its mobile subscribers in North East to 1957,784 in November 2019 from 2352,533 in October 2019.
The telecom operator said the fastest 4G speeds in West Bengal circle is based on analysis of Ookla Speedtest Intelligence data of mean download speeds amongst 4G users using popular Speedtest app from October to December 2019.
The Ookla certification for the circle means that Vodafone 4G smartphone customers in Kolkata, West Bengal and Sikkim can continue to enjoy seamless HD videos, group video calls, view series or movies, share photos and videos on their smart devices, at the fastest speed.
