Telecom network operator Vodafone India announced its 4G network – on 1800 MHz spectrum band — targeting main business and residential areas of Gurgaon.
Vodafone will launch 4G across all parts of Delhi and NCR in a phased manner. With this, Vodafone will have 2G, 3G and 4G services in Delhi NCR.
Users can access Vodafone 4G services on smartphones from Apple, Samsung, Micromax, Microsoft, Lava, Xolo, among others.
Vodafone has made investment in fiber backhaul to support the 4G services. Earlier, Vodafone introduced 4G in Kerala, Karnataka and Kolkata.
Naveen Chopra, chief operating officer, Vodafone India, said: “Vodafone’s experience of launching 4G across 19 countries gives us a better understanding of this technology and the needs of the 4G customer.”
Vodafone aims to offer 4G services in circles of Kerala, Karnataka, Mumbai, Delhi & NCR and Kolkata, which today contribute to 30 percent of industry revenues and close to 50 percent of Vodafone India data revenues.

Vodafone India said data contributes around 25 percent of total revenues in Delhi and NCR. Gurgaon contributes more than 10 percent of data users in Delhi NCR.
The mobile service provider has invested over Rs 800 crore in FY 2016 to expand, modernize and building a more technology and energy efficient network in Delhi NCR.
Vodafone has 273 exclusive Vodafone stores (52 large retail format and 221 Mini Stores) in Delhi and NCR.
