Vodafone 4G reaches 248 towns, 1,300 villages in Assam and North East

Vodafone LTE networkIndia telecom operator Vodafone said its 4G services are available in 248 towns and more than 1,300 villages across all seven States in Assam and North East Circle.

“Our vision is to expand our 4G to enable faster data speeds and better coverage to our customers,” said Nidhi Lauria, business head – Assam & North East, Vodafone India.

Vodafone is offering free 4G SIMs and 2GB of free data for ten days on 4G smartphones. Customers can upgrade to 4G SIMs at any Vodafone Store, Vodafone Mini Store and multi brand outlets across Assam & North-East.

Vodafone customers from Assam and North East Circle can also enjoy free incoming calls while on roaming nationally.

Vodafone India has invested Rs 2,200 crore in Assam and North East circle till date including Rs 150 crore in the first half of fiscal 2017 to modernize and build a more technology and energy efficient network.

Vodafone has retail footprint of 290 Vodafone branded stores spread across prominent locations in Assam & North East.

Vodafone 4G is already present in key centers across the region like Guwahati, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tinsukia, Tezpur, Bongaigaon, Sivasagar, Nagaon, North Lakhimpur, Golaghat, Goalpara, Nalbari, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Hojai, Barpeta, Lumding & Duliajan inAssam; Shillong, Tura, & Jowai in Meghalaya; Agartala in Tripura; Kohima, Dimapur & Mokokchung in Nagaland; Itanagar, Tawang, Naharlagun, Ziro, Along & Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh; Aizawl & Lunglei in Mizoram; Imphal in Manipur.
