Vodafone 4G coverage reaches 19,000 towns in Bengal and Sikkim

Indian telecom operator Vodafone said its 4G coverage has reached across 19,000 towns covering all districts of Bengal and Sikkim.

Vodafone has rolled out more than 4,000 plus cell sites since January 2017 to expand and strengthen its mobile data network. Vodafone has more than 21 million customers across the circle.

The company did not reveal the total number of cell sites in West Bengal and Sikkim.

“We are incentivizing our customers to enjoy the Vodafone SuperNet 4G data network by partnering with handset manufacturers and offering cashback for 4G smartphones across various price points. This is in line with our strategy to democratise data and make 4G more accessible,” Arvinder Singh Sachdev, business head – Kolkata and Rest of Bengal circles, Vodafone India, said.
