TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has revealed the result of the drive tests conducted in 6 cities of Agra, Lucknow, Imphal, Trivandrum, Nashik, and Ahmadabad.
TRAI said most of the telecom operators have met the 2 percent of QoS benchmark of drop call rate except BSNL 3G and Tata 3G in Agra, BSNL 2G, Idea 2G, Airce1 3G and Tata 3G in Lucknow, BSNL CDMA, BSNL 3G and Idea Cellular 3G in Imphal, Telenor 2G, Tata CDMA, Tata 3G and BSNL 3G in Nashik, and Tata CDMA, Tata 3G and BSNL 3G in Ahmadabad. All mobile operators are meeting QoS parameter in Trivandrum.
All telecom service providers have met the 3 percent of QoS benchmark of Call Block rate (CBR percent) in Agra and Trivandrum. Most of the TSPs have met this parameter except Aircel, Tata 3G and Telenor in Lucknow, Aircel 3G and BSNL CDMA m Imphal, Tata CDMA, Tata 3G in Nashik and Tata CDMA in Ahmadabad.
All mobile operators are meeting the Rx Quality QoS benchmark in Agra.
BSNL and Idea Cellular are meeting Rx Quality QoS benchmark in Lucknow.
Airtel 3G, BSNL 3G and Reliance Jio are not meeting Rx Quality QoS benchmark in Imphal.
All operators except Jio are meeting Rx Quality QoS benchmark in Trivandrum. Telenor, Tata CDMA and all TSPs are not meeting in 3G and 4G services in Nashik. Tata CDMA and all TSPs are not meeting for 3G and 4G services in Ahmadabad.
The TRAI drive test shows that Reliance Jio in Agra and Lucknow, Vodafone in Imphal and Ahmadabad and Airtel in Trivandrum and Nashik have achieved the highest download throughput for 4G services. The test drive was conducted between January-March 2018 by independent agencies.
