SK Telecom LTE subscriber-base reaches 17.94 mn

SK Telecom today said its LTE 4G subscriber-base reached 17.94 million, taking up over 62.6 percent of the company’s total mobile subscriber base, at the end of June 2015.

Monthly average data usage per LTE subscriber grew to 3.3GB in June from 3GB in March.

SK Telecom’s Q2 revenue fell 1.2 percent year on year and grew 0.4 percent quarter on quarter to KRW 4.256 trillion due to the elimination of sign-up fees and decreased network interconnection revenue caused by interconnection fee reduction.

The operating income of SK Telecom dipped 24.4 percent year on year and rose 2.5 percent quarter on quarter to KRW 412.9 billion.

The net income fell 20 percent to KRW 397.9 billion.
