Shenzen Topway Video selects Casa Systems C10G for IPTV and broadband

Casa Systems announced that the company’s C10G Cable
Modem Termination System (CMTS) has been selected by Shenzhen Topway Video
Communication, to expand its broadband communications services.

As a critical element in the headed office of the cable
television service network, Casa’s C10G CMTS has been part of a competitive
evaluation in Topway’s trial project since mid-2010 and has now been accepted
for deployment in Topway’s production network.

“Casa Systems is the only one that has passed full
DOCSIS 3.0 certification. They have advanced techniques in managing separated
downstream and upstream modules, which provides flexible combinations and
increases adaptation as subscribers grow over time,” said Mr. Fu Dali,
director of Broadband Business, Topway.

The availability of multiple upstream frequencies on a
single port is proof of high density. In this way, Casa’s CMTS enables the most
efficient load-balancing for upstream traffic and delivers convenient scaling
of the network while providing the bandwidth that fits the cable operators
service network.

“Shenzhen Topway Video Communication Ltd. is an
innovative company and we are very excited about our C10G being selected as the
platform to enable their aggressive rollout of broadband services,” said
Jerry Guo, founder and CEO of Casa Systems.

“Shenzhen Topway is clearly one of the leading cable
operators in China and is poised for significant growth. We are pleased to be
part of that growth moving forward,” Guo added.

Casa Systems innovative approach enables cable
operators to cost effectively offer highly scalable broadband services such as
IPTV, video-over-IP, interactive gaming, as well as traditional broadband
access and VoIP services.

As the industry’s only vendor with the full DOCSIS 3.0
and PacketCable 1.5 qualification, Casa Systems products deliver reliability,
scalability, performance, and operational simplicity.
