Sequans-powered WiMAX smartphones and tablets are available from seven operators


Telecom Lead America: Sequans-powered WiMAX smartphones and tablets are now
available from seven operators around the world, including Global Mobile and
Vee Time in Taiwan, KDDI in Japan, Korea Telecom in Korea, and Sprint, Virgin
Mobile, and Boost in the USA


Telecom Lead India: Sequans-powered WiMAX smartphones and
tablets are now available from seven operators around the world, including
Global Mobile and Vee Time in Taiwan, KDDI in Japan, Korea Telecom in Korea,
and Sprint, Virgin Mobile, and Boost in the USA.


Sequans Communications announced that there are now 15
Sequans-powered mass-market 4G smartphones and tablets in use by consumers in
four countries.


The latest is the HTC EVO Design, a 3G/4G smartphone,
launched recently by Global Mobile, a WiMAX operator in Taiwan. The HTC EVO
Design is now on sale and available in Taiwan through HTC stores as well as
through Global Mobile.


The HTC EVO Design features a 4-inch super LCD screen,
capacitive touchscreen, 5MP camera, virtual QWERTY keyboard, and 2G/3G/WiMAX
connectivity.


The number of Global Mobile subscribers is expected to
double by the end of the year due to the availability of the new HTC EVO
Design.
