Reliance Jio’s 120 million subscribers face data security issue

Jio 4G Wi-FiReliance Jio Infocomm’s 120 million users face huge data security issue as a website called magicapk leaked customer data of 4G subscribers.

The magicapk website has revealed sensitive data such as first name, last name, Jio subscriber’s mobile number, email ID, circle, SIM activation date, Aadhaar number, etc, Fonearena reported on Sunday.

Jio spokesperson said: “We have come across the unverified and unsubstantiated claims of the website and are investigating the issue. Prima facie, the data appears to be unauthentic.”

“We want to assure our 4G subscribers that their data is safe and maintained with highest security. Data is only shared with authorities as per their requirement. We have informed law enforcement agencies about the claims of the website and will follow through to ensure strict action is taken,” a Reliance Jio spokesperson said.
