Reliance Jio revenue surges 33.7% lifted by 9.9 mn new customers

Reliance Jio said its revenue grew 33.7 percent to Rs 16,557 crore during the first quarter of fiscal 2020-21.

Reliance Jio has 398.3 million mobile phone customers on its network that offers only 4G services. Reliance Jio said its ARPU during the quarter reached Rs 140.3 per subscriber per month.

Wireless data traffic of Reliance Jio rose 30.2 percent to 1,420 crore GB. Reliance Jio’s voice traffic grew 13.2 percent during the June quarter to 88,944 crore minutes.

Reliance Jio’s EBITDA was Rs 7,281 crore and EBITDA margin was 44 percent vs 37.8 percent in Q1 FY 2019-20. Reliance Jio reported net profit of Rs 2,520 crore.
