Reliance Jio announces Dhan Dhana Dhan offer

Reliance Jio Digital LifeReliance Jio Infocomm, which earlier announced the withdrawal of Jio Summer Surprise offer, today announced Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan.

The Mukesh Ambani-promoted Reliance Jio Infocomm had earlier notified that it would stop its Summer Surprise offer shortly following the advice of Telecom Regulatory authority of India (TRAI).

Yesterday, Vodafone India wrote to TRAI requesting the telecom regulator to ask Jio to stop its Summer Surprise offer immediately. Several research agencies predicted that Jio’s free offers are negatively impacting the growth in revenue and profit of established telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone, BSNL, among others.

Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan has two unlimited plans with special benefits, exclusively for its Jio Prime members.

The Rs 309 plan provides unlimited SMS, voice calling and 1GB of data per day at 4G speed for 3 months on first recharge.

The Rs 509 plan offers unlimited SMS, voice calling and 2GB of data per day at 4G speed for 3 months on first recharge.

Customers, who were unable to subscribe to Jio Prime, can pay Rs 408 or Rs 608 (Jio Prime + recharge price) to avail these benefits. These plans will be available starting today.

Existing Jio customers, who have not done their first recharge, can recharge by 15 April 2017 to avoid degradation and /or discontinuation of services.

Jio is currently implementing the world’s largest migration from free to paid services in such a short period of time.
