Ooredoo Myanmar showcases VoLTE technology

Ooredoo Myanmar has showcased VoLTE technology, in partnership with telecom network maker Nokia.
Ooredoo Myanmar 4GVoLTE technology works seamlessly to service traffic carried on the LTE network as more people migrate to the higher speed, higher capacity LTE bandwidth, Sanjay Vaghasia, chief technology and information officer at Ooredoo Myanmar, said.

Ooredoo is the first mobile operator in Myanmar to demonstrate VoLTE technology to its customers.

Ooredoo Myanmar in June became the fastest network in Myanmar, according to the Ookla Speedtest Intelligence analysis for Q1 – Q2 2018.

Ooredoo earlier this year completed a 4G Pro network demonstration, showcasing its readiness to bring 5G service in Myanmar.

Ooredoo Myanmar said its 4G network will reach 92 percent of the total population, including 300 townships, by the end of 2018.
